Besides being a diehard rockhound and a lapidary, Dale “Cougar” Armstrong is an internationally known wire jewelry artist, instructor and author with a background in the fine arts, cloisonné and repoussé. With more than 40 years of combined experience, she uses absolutely no solder or glue in her traditional wire jewelry designs, and teaches how at related events in North America, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, and Switzerland. Best known for making her thorough teaching style fun, Dale is the author of numerous magazine and Internet articles, and the bestselling book, “Wirework: An Illustrated Guide to the Art of Wire Wrapping”. She has also made more than 50 educational DVDs, is a member of the Beadalon Design Team, and a live product presenter on Jewelry Television, and has her own line of “Cougar’s Choice” hand tools. After lunch students will work with Master Wire Jewelry Instructor, Dale Cougar Armstrong, to turn the bell into a pendant and then create matching earrings. Graceful and sophisticated, these lightweight earrings are sure to become one of your “go-to” designs when you are looking for something just a little bit different. Using sterling silver chain, wire and a choice of garnet, amethyst, or jade gemstone beads, each student will personalize their Trio of Solid Silver Temple Bells and wear them out of class.
The class fee includes teacher fees, all necessary silver wire, chain, findings, gemstone beads, Art Clay Silver, wood form, use of tools, kilns and materials.
