Learn copper electroforming and take home your very own electroformed pendant using a hand made porcelain cabochon from Mountain Robbins Art Studios. You will gain a clear understanding of how to electroform so you will be able to reproduce electroforming techniques at home! I will share electroforming techniques and methods and provide an opportunity to practice in class. Additionally you will receive “how to” documentation. Every student will electroform a pendant and understand tank set-up and maintenance, rectifier settings, and processes associated with electroforming and how it works. Other materials that will be available include shells, gems, glass, stones and additional electroformed items. Students are encouraged to bring small treasures they wish to include in their projects. My methods are easy to understand and always effective! Class will break twice during the day to provide time for chemical bonding, and drying. Pick up and finish projects on Tuesday, Friday, or by prior-arrangement. If students are unable to return I will finish and mail their project for a small fee.
Class Length: 5 to 7 hours, with numerous breaks! Materials include Judy Mountain porcelain cabochon, dichroic glass gems, micro-beads, CZ’s, copper wire, conductive paint, glue, miscellaneous polished rocks, sea glass, sealed organic material, injection wax, tutorial containing detailed instructions, material resources, and photographs, and use of electroforming and polishing equipment and chemicals.

Magnifying glasses or readers,
Personal light Additional gem stones, cut and uncut,
Notebook and pen.
The class will use liver of sulphur (LOS) to darken final project.
