Into the Garden Fine Silver PendantFebruary 4, 2:30pm - 7:30pm (ALREADY PAST)Metal Clay Class By Inez FlaughInez Flaugh has always loved creating beautiful things with her hands and has dabbled in just about every media out there. Her love of glass and making jewelry is what started Inez down the path in Metal Clay. She took an Introduction to Metal Clay class in 2012 and her head exploded with ideas of designing and creating her jewelry to make it uniquely her own. The more she learned the more excited she became and knew she had to share the knowledge of Metal Clay with others. In 2014 Inez received her Art Clay Senior Instructor certification and in 2016 became certified Level 2 in PMC. She then began teaching in December 2014. Inez teaches many skill levels of metal clay classes, including Art Clay certifications, in her home studio, located in Fullerton, CA. She is proficient in working with silver, copper, and bronze metal clays, carving on metal clay; as well as incorporating gemstones, cabochons, and glass into her jewelry.
Class Fee: $150.00Skill Level: Beginner
This pendant reminds me of a peaceful, beautiful walk in the garden. With this project you will learn so many techniques you will be able to use on many future projects. Some of the key take away skills will be learning to roll and manipulate coils (snakes), then creating layers to give your piece depth and beauty. You will also be setting a CZ and creating components both freehand and using a silicon mold to finish the look. The piece will then be fired and finished in class. Previous metal clay experience is helpful, but not required. Class includes all materials, use of tools and firing.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
