The modular kumihimo concept allows you to get straight to the best part of any braided project – the focal beads in the middle! The Sugar Rush necklace features colorful medley of different bead sizes and shapes in a design that’s playful and fun. A clever hidden front closure allows the focal piece to be swapped out on different back straps to change the look and to coordinate with different outfits. Odds are good that you will finish the focal braid in class. You'll learn how to incorporate a variety of bead sizes and shapes into beaded kumihimo, how to braid around a core, and how to follow a counted kumihimo chart. Peyote stitch will be demonstrated. Kits will be available in multiple colorways.
Level: This is an intermediate kumihimo class designed for students with previous experience braiding with beads on a foam kumihimo disk.
