She owns and operates Vienna Impressions, Austria's largest source for rubber stamping and other crafting supplies. She has attained the Silver Metal Clay Diploma from the Mid Cornwall School of Jewellery, as well as the Art Clay 1, 2 and Instructor Certifications. Her work has been published in several publications in Europe and the US. Sulie teaches frequent classes in various techniques, both in her own studio and as a guest instructor as events such as Beadfest, Bead and Button, Metal Immersions, etc. vienna-expressions-studio.at

This class is designed for jewelry artists who have never worked with metal clay, but who are curious about exploring this fascinating medium. We will discuss basic skills, including recognition of potential problems and how to prevent them. You will design a pendant or earrings, and make your project from start to finish, including learning how to torch fire. Your piece can be patinated to create an heirloom effect, or you can leave it shiny and bright: it’s up to you. You will leave class with the knowledge that you need to continue your metal clay journey at home -- no kiln required!
