Life Path: Numbers & Symbols NecklaceFebruary 5, 9:00am - 1:00pm (ALREADY PAST)Mixed Media Class By Jen CushmanClass Fee: $95.00 Kit fee of $30 paid to instructor in class
Skill Level: All
Some believe that we can better understand the world around us by observing numerical patterns in our daily lives. Numerologists believe personal numbers are also a spiritual practice that can help navigate our inner world as well as our outer world. Did you know your personal Life Path number is much more than your personality type?
Whatever your belief system, playing with numbers artistically as both pattern and symbolism is downright interesting! During this class we’ll calculate your life path number, learn what that means and then create a personalized necklace in copper and bronze sheet metal to wear as a personal periapt. Metal stamps put the words, numbers or designs fully in your hands. Not into wearing your life path number? No worries. You can choose to stamp your power word instead. Metalworking techniques taught include properly and easily metal stamping into sheet metal, cutting sheet metal with shears rather than using a jeweler’s saw, proper filing, layering metal components with cold connections (without the use of fire or soldering), patination and wirewrapping. You’ll make the leather necklace using soft leather and also create your own wire clasp and wire end crimps using high quality wire.
