You'll receive a kit that includes sterling wire, fine silver bezel cups, gemstones and czs, solder, consumables and instructions.

Skill Level: All

Learn to size, solder and texture a stack of dainty sterling silver rings. Then make molded silver clay elements and learn how to set 4mm and 6mm stones into clay and torch fire, then solder onto your rings. We will also solder and set stones using traditional metalsmithing methods.
This is a fun class for metal clay artists who want to learn metalsmithing. As well as metalsmiths who want to get more creative with their ring designs.
Melissa will also demonstrate using molding compounds to make your own unique creations.

Suggested tools to bring:

Ring mandrel, rawhide mallet, bezel roller, bezel pusher, chasing hammer, metal file, wire cutters, 1/2 round pliers, round pliers, flat pliers (instructor will have tools to share).
Or students may purchase required tools at the Clay Revolution booth.
