Colors Of The Stone Winter
Skill Level: Advanced
Tension and bead sizes play a big role in structural beadwork, and in this project you get to play
with both! This structural spiral is accomplished by using various sized seed beads (from 15/0 –
8/0) in a tubular herringbone stitch with tight tension. The interspersed pearls (ranging in size
from 8-12mm) help to hold the shape and add interest to this already unique piece.
Special Notes or requirements:
You should be generally familiar with herringbone stitch and using 15/0 beads. You will also
need to be able to hold a tight tension throughout working this piece. YOU NEED TO BRING:
6lb Fireline (or favorite beading thread), beading needle, and work mat.
