Dahlia, Half-CelliniJanuary 31, 9:00am - 1:00pm (ALREADY PAST)Beadwork Class By Sue NeelClass Fee: $150.00Kit Fee: $40.00
Skill Level: Advanced
I love a good Cellini Spiral, but a half-cellini is less bulky and can create some beautiful detailing too! Learn to use cellini techniques with an even-count flat peyote design to make this interesting necklace that is not only eye-catching, but super lightweight too! Pattern uses a variety of bead sizes and shapes from 15/0 to 8/0. We will discuss tension with variable size beads and show how to terminate the beadwork with a sliding end bar finishing technique.

Special Notes or requirements:
Even if you have never tried cellini-spirals before, you should be able to set up and work both flat and tubular peyote, work with size 15/0 seed beads, hold tight tension, and work at your own pace. YOU NEED TO BRING: 6 or 8lb Fireline (or favorite beading thread), beading needle, and work mat. A pair of needle-nose pliers is also helpful, but I will have some to share in class.
