Skill Level: Intermediate
This necklace is a combination of Japanese technique of braiding called Kumihimo and bead
weaving. Kongoh Gumi braid is made using seed beads and a variety of specialty beads.
Z and S spirals will be made to create a mirror image. A beautiful slider holds both braids in
place and then dangles are attached at the bottom.
Project will be done on Kumihimo disk.
Special Notes or requirements: Students will bring double density foam disk, weighted bobbins
and counterweight. Experience of kumihimo is required.
Other supply list will be sent upon registration like needle, thread etc.
