Mold & Stack Rings

Learn to size, solder and texture a stack of dainty sterling silver rings. Then make molded silver clay elements and learn how to set 4mm and 6 mm stones in to clay and torch fire, then solder to your on to your rings. We will also solder and set stones using traditional metalsmithing methods. This is a fun class for metal clay artists who want to learn metalsmithing and metalsmiths who want to get more creative with their ring designs.
Suggested tools needed can be purchase from clay revolution: bezel roller, bezel pusher, wire cutters, file. Kit includes 5 grams Project X silver clay, 16 and 14 gauge sterling silver wire, fine silver bezel cups, 4 and 6 mm gemstones and CZs, solder, consumables and instructions.
Students should bring optivisor or visual aid. Personal lighting is strongly recommended.
