By Tamara Honaman

February 5, 1:00pm – 5:00pm Already passed

Fee: Class: $125.00 (required) / Kit: $45.00 (required)

Skill level: All Levels

This class is perfect for both beginners and experienced makers looking to explore new design techniques and expand their repertoire in metal clay.

Design and create a set of versatile fine silver elements in this hands-on metal clay workshop with instructor Tammy Honaman. You’ll create a textured bail, a shank-back button (used here as a pendant), and a dimensional charm—all using fine silver metal clay.

While your pieces fire in the kiln, Tammy will demonstrate the Viking knit, showing how to create a coordinating chain for your finished components. Whether you’re new to metal clay or building your skills, this workshop gives you the knowledge to create cohesive, wearable elements you can adapt to any jewelry project.

Skills You'll Learn:

Rolling, shaping, and texturing fine silver metal clay

Creating a functional bail, shank-style button, and charm

Refining, kiln firing, and finishing techniques

Assembling metal clay components into a jewelry design

Bonus: Viking knit chain-making demo during firing
