In this class, you’ll learn how to size and cut metal to create three matching stacking rings in the same size—using different styles of silver wire. You’ll also add a small cabochon in a pre-made setting to one ring if time allows.
Step-by-step instruction includes cutting wire to length, texturing with a hammer, filing, soldering, setting a cabochon, and finishing with polishing.
Cabochon availability varies (or you may bring a calibrated 5 mm stone).
You’ll leave class with finished rings and a fully illustrated take-home handout with step-by-step instructions to keep going in your home studio.
If your preferred date isn’t available, email Vilina Hutter at studiominerock@gmail.com. We’ll try to accommodate you or place you on a waitlist if another student can’t attend.
Please note: refund requests less than one week before the class aren’t possible due to planning for travel and supplies.
Tools and equipment are provided. Bring any magnification you prefer for close work and a battery task light if you’d like—some classrooms can be dimly lit.
